On a searing Wednesday afternoon at 15:17pm Engine 4-5-2 & Tanker 4-5 were dispatched to 5544 Strasburg Rd & Hidden Hollow Dr. (Sadsbury Twp) to assist Station 4-2 on a working brush fire. Deputy 4-2 had command and reported a wheat field on fire with exposure to a nearby wooded area.
Once on scene E4-5-2 assisted E4-2-2 with preventing the fire from spreading to a wooded area, which was in close proximity to the field. Tanker 4-5 supplied water to E4-5-2 and assisted on scene as needed. Later E4-5-2 set-up a fill site at a nearby pond and filled units as needed.
All KFC units were returned & available at 16:53pm.
