The heavy rains experienced in Lancaster County on late Friday afternoon 8/7 caused many issues. Kinzer started with a public service call for water in a basement of a resedential home. While on scene Station 45 was alerted of a water rescue at 3471 Lincoln Hwy E. in Paradise Twp. Crews responded and upon arrival Kinzer firefighters assisted the 2 individuals out of the waist deep water. Boat 47 and ambulance 43-2 assisted on the water rescue.
Route 30 remained closed for 1.5 hours until the water subsided.
The third incident we responded to was a large farmhouse, whose basement had approximatley 5 feet of water that needed pumped out. We were in service about 4 hours at this detail. |
