KFC participates in Make-A-Wish Convoy

Sun, May 9th, 2010 8:00:00 am - On a blustery Sunday Morning (May 9) members of the Kinzer Fire Company traveled on E4-5-2 & E4-5-1 to Burle Industries in Lancaster to participate in the 21^st Annual Make-A-Wish Mother's Day Convoy.

KFC has been participating in this rewarding event for 14 years and started attending in 1997.

This year we were fortunate enough to have two local Make-A-Wish families ride along in the convoy with us. The Esh family from Lancaster rode on Engine 2 with their two daughters and the Parkay family from Gordonville rode on Engine 1 with their two sons.

The convoy kicked off at 1:30pm and it was an exhilarating ride for the kids on board. We were proud to be a part of the 350+ trucks involved in the convoy!

Thanks to the Esh & Parkay families for allowing us the privilege of escorting you during this special day!
